Stencils and Copic Airbrush Bible Journaling

Two weeks ago I posted a new video at the Copic In The Craft Room youTube channel and I meant to share it here as well. It is featuring a little Copic Airbrushing and stencil work in my Bible Journal.

The stencil is another from Stencil Revolution and I love how it fits perfectly on my Journal Bible. Here is a direct link to the video for those who have not had a chance to see it! There is a VERY FAST review of putting the air compressor together then a little creating?

Dare 2B Artzy Year in Review

Hello friends and family!  I am hoping all of you are ready for the holidays and have plans to share time with family, friends and loved ones!

Here in Iowa it has been COLD and we are tucked in tight for winter months ahead! Great time for crafting and creating. Today I get to share some of my favorite posts from the past year at D2BA! So here is a list of some of my favorites!

The first two cards I am sharing use the same stamp set. I LOVE the Butterfly Inspiration set! I have used it multiple times and love the different ways I can use these delicate images.

I have done a little bit of Bible journaling with my D2BA stamps as well and this is a favorite from this past year, the stamp set this time is Be Yourself :

Then one of my favorite newer cards I have created is this one featuring the Squirrel! Stamp set and some of the coordinating papers. I just love how the dies work to cut out all these little leaves on the patterned paper!

And what would a year of favorite post be without an alpaca?! I adore this stamp set, Alpaca Cake, there is the Spit Happens set as well, it might be one of my all time favorites ? I think I have shared it 3 times over the last year but this last one I think is my favorite with the swinging cactus pinata!

Thanks for stopping by today and again Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all!

Have a Happy Colorful New Year!

Hark the Herald Angles Sing! Copic Bible Journaling

I am adding a couple extra posts this week at my blog and over at Copic In The Craft Room

Merry Christmas Eve to those who celebrate! Christmas looks a little different every year in our home since John’s schedule changes every year. This year he has a 4 day stretch of call that started Friday morning and will not end until Tuesday morning. Yeah it’s a little bit of a doozy! The girls and I have taken in a movie and snuck in a meal with John between his runs to the hospital. We will be celebrating our Christmas today the 24th and then might have to take in another movie on the 25th. In the meantime, if time allows I thought I would share a little extra art. No frills and not of explanation just a little love and joy from me to you!

I created this in my Bible and just love how she turned out. I have been waiting patiently to color her up with Copic markers

She is from Dare 2B Artzy and I just adore her. Here is a close up;

This is an image I know I will use again and make a point to try to pull out of my stamp basket to share. Now using Copics in my Journal Bible I do need a blotter sheet in between and although that protects the page behind the ink is still clearly on the back of the page.

She is still beautiful and I will find a way to use her on this page as well. I also got a quick shot of the fist full of markers that I used to color her up.

If I have time I will try to get one more post in tomorrow and then I have a video waiting to be edited for Wednesday so I am still trying to send you all some Copic inspiration. Thank you so much for your support and for stopping by!

Have a Happy Colorful Holiday!

Bible Journal Page with D2BA

This week I am in overwhelmed mode. Projects left and right all stacked up, all good, but overwhelming. So when the devotional that I received via e-mail seemed to speak directly to me to slow down, take a breath and start fresh, I figured I better pay attention. So to start re-freshing my devotional/worship time I slowed down to create a Bible Journaling page. I used a stamp set and ink from Dare 2B Artzy.

I used both the Be Yourself stamp set and the Totally Black Premium Ink. Then SHHHH! I did not use Copics this time I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens for this particular entry.

I stamped one birdie, some music notes and a phrase in the margin of my page:

Then I added color. I used my pens and also a water brush for a beautiful water color effect. The ink sat tight with no smearing! Gotta love a good ink!

I added my journaling and also a few small do-dads. The page needed very little added around the beautiful stamps.

I am truly enjoying being part o the design team over at Dare 2B Artzy, even though I am busy right now this has been such a wonderful infusion of fresh inspiration and time for art. Here is one last peek at the sweet birdie:

Thank you for stopping by! Make sure to check out more of the inspiration and beautiful supplies over at Dare 2B Artzy when you can!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!
