We explored the color “emerald green” over at Get It Scrapped this past week. It gave me the perfect excuse to find the perfect product to go with my photos! I knew before I started this layout that I wanted to use navy and kraft colors to go with all the water and the wood of the kid’s rafts but i was not sure exactly how to tie in the emerald green. I had these hexagon wood veneers in my stash already so tried several products to color them to their bright emerald color. Acrylic worked the best for this particular color but I tried a few inks and stains as well. The letters are chipboard and were a wood looking finish so those got some Copic color added to continue the green. I added touches of sparkle with gems and a glitter pen around the kraft cardstock.
